Job Opportunity: Financial Accountant

Location: Basingstoke, Hampshire.Reports To: Group Financial Controller

Are you a qualified accountant looking to further your career in a fast-growing, dynamic company? We are looking for a Financial Accountant to join our clients UK finance team. This role will offer you the chance to make a real impact while working across a variety of financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain the nominal ledger for our UK office and other jurisdictions.
  • Oversee the sales ledger and ensure client fees are accurately recorded.
  • Reconcile bank accounts and manage the purchase ledger.
  • Produce regular WIP (Work in Progress) reports to support revenue optimization.
  • Monitor aged debts and ensure timely collections through strong internal relationships.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reporting.
  • Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
  • Help prepare annual financial statements in line with relevant accounting standards.
  • Manage intercompany reconciliations and assist with tax calculations.
  • Support cash flow management and ensure regulatory capital requirements are met.
  • Play an integral role in the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors.

What We?re Looking For:

  • ACA/ACCA finalist or qualified with 1-2 years post-qualification experience.
  • Advanced Excel skills, particularly in reporting and data analysis.
  • Experience with general ledger systems.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting.
  • A self-starter with strong organisational skills, able to thrive under pressure.
  • Excellent communicator who can collaborate across teams and manage small projects.
