I'm assisting one of our valued clients in sourcing candidates for a Management Accountant position. This role is perfect for a part-qualified accountant who is keen to enhance their skills and support the financial well-being of the organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing financial statements, budgeting, and forecasting, while ensuring precision and adherence to financial regulations.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Analyse financial performance and contribute to medium and long-term business planning/forecasts.
  • Monitor and report on variances between actual and budgeted financial performance.
  • Assist in year-end audit preparation and liaise with external auditors.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards and legislation.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial transparency and understanding across the organisation.
  • Participate in financial projects and initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Part-qualified ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in a similar role within a finance department.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel, and familiarity with financial reporting software.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and an ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
