About Our Client
I am currently partnering with an industry-leading group in the housing sector to recruit a Fixed Asset Accountant. This hands-on role supports the maintenance of a £7 billion fixed asset register within a large-scale group.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensuring accurate and timely recording of all fixed assets using the fixed asset and finance systems.
- Providing cost analysis to support depreciation, amortisation, and surplus on disposals.
- Assisting in the production of annual statutory accounts for several entities.
- Collaborating with external auditors.
- Delivering financial support for key business projects, including budget preparation, benchmarking, KPI reporting, and process improvements.
- Supporting accurate coding of fixed asset spend, investment expenditure, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
Necessary Requirements:
- ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualified.
- Experience in a group or blue-chip organisation.
- Strong technical background.
- Excellent communication skills, with extensive experience in senior stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to work in a hybrid setup with on-site presence in Basingstoke.
