Venture Recruitment Partners are delighted to be supporting a leading services business, based in Basingstoke, to recruit a Senior Management Accountant position on a 12-month FTC basis.Salary £60-66,000 p/a + matched pension scheme up to 12% + £450 yearly flexible benefit pot to use against benefits of your choice

Hybrid working - 2 days a week in the officeKey Responsibilities include:

  • Establish the accuracy of the group’s combined general ledgers, ensuring that effective procedures are in place and all errors are identified and corrected. Ensure that appropriate accounting controls are established.
  • Proactively provide advice, support, guidance and opinion on accounting standards and reporting practices to senior stakeholders.
  • Establish the provision of group information, analysis and reporting on actual results as required which helps drive the business
  • Work closely with management accounting teams to produce the monthly management accounts for all of the activities to ensure timely and accurate submission to the executive board.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to financial reports to enable the executive leadership team and directors to improve and refine their understanding of the accounts and other financial reports.

Key Experience & Skills:

  • Qualified Accountant, ACA, CIMA, ACCA 
  • Demonstrable track record of senior stakeholder management and collaboration.
  • Demonstrable track record of working effectively in a changing and continuously improving environment.
  • Strong, clear working knowledge of processes and controls surrounding financial accounting and management account preparation, including detailed report writing and analysis.
  • Strong, clear working knowledge of management information report writing and design, including detailed variance analysis.
