Please note this role for Service Technician is a role which requires you to service, change tyres, small inspections, checking over vehicles and looking at body damage. There is no engine work, cluthes etc.
It is a nice simple easier role and would suit someone who is looking to come off major vehicle mechanics.

My client, who has sites nationwide for van rental and hire, are looking for a LCV Service Technician / Vehicle Service Technician / LCV Technician / Van Technician / Commercial Vehicle Technician / Mechanic / Fleet Engineer / Light Commercial Technician / LCV Fitter / Van Mechanic to join their team in Reading.

Responsibilities of the LCV Service Technician / Vehicle Service Technician / LCV Technician / Van Technician / Commercial Vehicle Technician / Mechanic / Fleet Engineer / Light Commercial Technician / LCV Fitter / Van Mechanic:

• Carrying out servicing and inspection for vehicles (Vans and LCVs)
• Undertaking regular safety inspections of Vans in accordance with the statutory requirements.
• Inspecting vehicles to diagnose faults.
• Tyre Changes on Vehicles
• Check vehicles in out for hire
• Check body damage
• Basic Servicing for all vehicles
• Completing all necessary records relating to the inspection and service.

This is a perfect role for a Mechanic who is looking to do a less strenuous mechanical role. There is no Engine, Clutch, brakes etc to be maintained or repaired. This role is purely servicing, tyre changes and inspections.
