In this temporary to permanent position, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the warehouse, while fostering a collaborative environment for all team members.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, motivate and empower a team of warehouse associates to ensure efficient and accurate pick/pack operations
- Coordinate daily activities, including assigning tasks, supervising efficiency, and ensuring adherence to quality standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to determine operational priorities and successfully implement process improvements
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members to drive continuous growth and development
- Strictly adhere to safety guidelines and ensure a safe working environment for all warehouse associates
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar leadership role within a warehouse or logistics environment
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and individuals from different levels within the organisation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and balance multiple priorities with ease
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Forklift certification is highly desirable
