This role involves managing internal accounts for retail, delivering customer satisfaction, and developing sales opportunities. It combines nurturing relationships and operational tasks such as processing quotes.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Maximise call potential and outcomes using various sources to gain information on customers.
  • Collaborate with internal business units to identify market-leading deals.
  • Offer recommendations to enhance the value proposition by understanding customer business requirements.
  • Achieve monthly/quarterly revenue and margin targets for the aligned customer/segment.
  • Build excellent customer relationships through proactive engagement, including face-to-face visits.
  • Develop partner relationships, including account planning and cross-selling.
  • Provide, sell, and negotiate product information, pricing, special offers, and promotions.
  • Sell the benefits of the value proposition.
  • Generate and manage a pipeline of deals in the CRM system, ensuring active closure of opportunities.
  • Provide accurate and timely quotations to customers.
  • Maintain service level agreements with customers.
  • Manage customer backorder expectations and reporting.
  • Develop relationships with key internal and external contacts.
  • Ensure the CRM system is well maintained and provides correct customer information.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication skills and telephone manner.
  • Proven sales track record.
  • Numerate with strong attention to detail.
  • Strive to achieve set targets.
  • Understanding of the sales process.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Very good relationship-building skills.
