Laboratory TechnicianPertemps are currently recruiting for a Laboratory Technician to work for a manufacturer company based in Basingstoke. This is a full-time, 12-month maternity cover contract.Responsibilities as a Laboratory Technician:- Oversee day to day activities of UKAS temperature calibration laboratory according to company procedures- Conduct traceable and accredited calibrations under the quality system- Record calibration data to enable calibration certificates to be issued- Perform an initial assessment of instrument faults during calibration- Apply appropriate correction factors arising from uncertainty of measurement according to procedure- Update all related electronic trending and tracking spreadsheets- Participate in laboratory activities, internal audits, and non-conformancesRequirements:- Previous experience working under a quality system- Previous calibration experience- A Scientific or Engineering background- Experience working in a UKAS environment is desirable- Good communication and organisational skillsThis Laboratory Technician position is a full time, 12-month maternity cover contract. Working hours are Monday to Friday 9:00am - 16:30pm.
