Are you looking for an exciting role to completely make your own?

If so, I have a really exciting opportunity for an In-House Chef at a local thriving business in Basingstoke. You will be overseeing the office canteen to include all aspects of food preparation, such as making salads and preparing sandwiches plus daily specials. You will choose ingredients and design a menu to include good use of seasonal food items, creating delicious dishes that inspire staff to come back again and again to see what’s new in the canteen.

Responsibilities:

Receive & prepare customers orders according to their preferences.

Cater for Boardroom lunches and meetings.

Run efficient systems to enable pre ordering and on time delivery of pre ordered meals

Ensure the kitchen meets all regulations including sanitary and food safety guidelines

Being responsible for canteen & kitchen health and safety

Being responsible for food hygiene practices and championing high standards

Experiment to come up with new specialties that will draw staff into the canteen

Determine how much food to order, maintain an appropriate and consistent supply at the canteen, including compliant stock control methods

Skills & Experience

Friendly demeanor and an ability to learn people’s names to provide a personalized service

Ability to work quickly under pressure

High level of attention to detail

Good level of numeracy

Ability to work unsupervised and deliver high standards of customer service & consistent quality

Positive and approachable manner
