Blaymires Recruitment is representing a highly respected contractor who is searching for a Senior Planner with construction experience who will take control of a major 17th Century estate refurbishment, located near Andover with a total project cost of £80 Million.

The Senior Planner is responsible for developing, maintaining, and analysing project programmes to ensure timely project delivery. This role involves close collaboration with project managers, Subcontractors, and other stakeholders to integrate programmes, identify risks, and provide strategic planning support. The Senior Planner will leverage advanced planning techniques and software to enhance project timelines and resource allocation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Programme Development and Maintenance.
  • Develop detailed project programmes, including all phases from initiation to completion.
  • Maintain and update project programme based on actual progress and changes in project scope.
  • Capture and record as-planned versus as-built information, demonstrate the impact of delay events, and add any new or modified tasks and sequences.
  • Critical Path Analysis.
  • Resource Management.
  • Risk Management.
  • Reporting and Documentation.
  • Stakeholder Communication.
  • Programme Optimisation.
  • Software Proficiency.
  • Training and Guidance.
  • Compliance and Standards.

Qualifications / Experience

  • Education: degree in Construction Management, Project Management Qualifications, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in project programming, with at least 3-5 years in a senior scheduling role.
  • Software Skills: Proficiency in programme software predominantly Elecosoft Power Project, and other relevant tools.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of project management principles, critical path method (CPM), and resource levelling techniques.
  • Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
