Job: Condition Monitoring Technician

Location: Homebased covering on-site work across the Southeast of England

Working Hours/Shift Pattern: 8am - 16:30pm, 40 hours/week, Monday - Friday

  • Work that has to be done outside that time depending on customer requirements e.g. customer 8am - 2pm

Working hours vary dependent on customer requirements, anything beyond 8 hours per day can be paid in overtime or given as time in lieu, flexibility to suit at manager's discretion

1.5x Monday - Saturday midday, Midday Saturday - end of Sunday 2x

Our client is a technology driven and specialist industrial services provider offering a range of engineering solutions and technical services to a wide variety of industries. An opportunity has come about for an experienced CMT to join the team.

Main duties & responsibilities:

  • Responsible for data acquisition and reporting of condition monitoring services
  • Includes thermography, vibration analysis, ultrasound emission and oil analysis
  • Results put into smart asset management platform (SAMP), taking data on whole breadth of rotating machines and electromechanical assets

The responsibilities for this role include:

  • Carry out condition monitoring and condition-based maintenance regimes as per defined asset database routes.
  • Continually improve defined condition monitoring routes.
  • Carry out the interpretation, analysis, and compilation of detailed reports.
  • Reporting asset defects to the client and entering notifications on the client's ERP system.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce downtime on equipment.
  • Deliver CM know-how using techniques and methodologies to optimise regime.

  • High standard of report writing with the ability of altering to suit the client's requirements
  • Able to innovate using new technologies and methodologies
  • Good team working skills
  • Able to work on own initiative in a fast-paced environment easily adapting to change
  • Plans activities and projects well in advance and takes account of possible changes in circumstances
  • Essential -
  • Vibration Analysis, Infrared Thermography and Ultrasound qualifications (Category of which is not important)
  • Excellent attitude to learn to progress and be analytical in process
  • You will have a proven track record in HSE training. IOSH and CCNSG are typical and desirable but not essential and have excellent communication skills
  • Must be proficient in MS operating systems and tools along with condition monitoring software packages.
