We are looking for a In House Caterer on a permanent basis to work for this corporate company based just outside of Basingstoke.You will meeting the demands of up to 100 office staff who are hungry for both breakfast and lunch. You will offer a combination of hot and cold foods and have the ability to add your own culinary flair to the menu. Pastries, sandwiches, paninis, home made soup and a couple of "specials" for the lunch is expected.The role includes all aspects of delivering a welcome, tasty and good-looking plate of food including preparation, cooking, reheating, assembling and serving. The taking & processing of food orders whilst maintaining a clean and safe canteen space, both front of house and behind the scenes, keeping the customer at the forefront of your day.This will include, but is not limited to, responsibility for kitchen and storeroom hygiene and cleaning. You will be expected to enhance our food hygiene rating from 3 stars back to 5 stars and then maintain these standards daily.Tasks includeReceive & prepare customers' orders according to their preferences.Cater for Boardroom lunches and meetings.Run efficient systems to enable pre ordering and on time delivery of pre ordered mealsEnsure the kitchen meets all regulations including sanitary and food safety guidelines

Being responsible for canteen & kitchen health and safe.Being responsible for food hygiene practices, championing high standards.Experiment to come up with new specialities that will draw staff into the canteen. Determine how much food to order, maintain an appropriate and consistent supply at the canteen, including compliant stock control methodsYou will have a friendly demeanour and an ability to learn people's names to provide a personalised serviceAbility to work quickly under pressure High level of attention to detailGood level of numeracyAbility to work unsupervised and deliver high standards of customer service & consistent qualityPositive and approachable mannerTeam playerWorking hours are from 7.30am - 3.30pm Monday to Friday Salary is £34,000 - £36,000 pa Other benefits include free car parking, 21 days holiday rising to 25 days after 5 years.
