Forsyth Barnes are recruiting on behalf of a leading UK company in the automotive sector, seeking an experienced Data Analyst with a strong background in financial data.
About the Role
We are looking for a talented Business Intelligence Analyst to join a dynamic team, supporting the finance division. As part of a close-knit analytics group, you will be instrumental in ensuring the business has access to key data insights for strategic decision-making and tracking performance across various markets, including the UK, Ireland, Iceland, Spain, and Portugal. The role involves developing and maintaining a comprehensive reporting suite across all business functions, working closely with the Data Engineer to ensure a robust data pipeline and a well-maintained central Data Warehouse.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a standard suite of management reports, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and create user-friendly reports that deliver actionable insights.
- Manage and control access to reports, ensuring confidentiality and data security.
- Conduct ad-hoc analysis based on business needs and self-initiated projects, presenting findings in a consistent format.
- Educate business users on available reports, promoting a self-service approach to data.
- Maintain detailed documentation of key processes and tasks.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Advanced experience with Power BI for data visualisation and model building.
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Excel for in-depth data analysis.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
- Eager to learn and enhance technical skills continuously.
- Self-motivated and capable of working both independently and within a team.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex data insights clearly.
- Ability to manage workload effectively in a fast-paced environment.
