We are delighted to support one of our long-term clients in their search for a Collections Advisor. This role is pivotal in enhancing their business capabilities by providing customized leasing and finance solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently managing the collections process, ensuring the control and resolution of customer arrears and defaults.

Day-to-Day of the Role:

  • Monitor new and existing arrears cases, actively chasing all monies due on unpaid customer invoices primarily via telephone, and where appropriate, email and/or letter.
  • Focus particularly on larger arrears cases and those with a high likelihood of loss, communicating progress to line management and following guidance as required.
  • Take corrective action in cases of arrears due to administrative errors, ensuring root cause issues are addressed.
  • Report and work to resolve cases where partner actions are causing arrears or preventing collection, contributing to the resolution of root causes.
  • Respond accurately and promptly to general queries regarding arrears cases from both customers and internal staff, maintaining focus on collection and/or avoidance of loss.
  • Adhere to department policies and procedures, TCF principles, and all regulatory compliance requirements, including Data Protection, Anti Money Laundering (AML), and Financial Securities CONC.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience working within a Customer Service and Collections environment.
  • Confident telephone manner.
  • Proven time and task management skills.
  • Ability to work in a busy, open-plan office environment.
  • Flexibility to work in a shift system from 8.00 to 18.00 each day, with additional hours as required.
