Assistant Teacher / Unqualified Teacher - Basingstoke - ASAP start - £26,421 - £28,770 Academics are recruiting on behalf of an amazing Secondary School in Basingstoke who are looking to appoint a driven and passionate Assistant Teacher to join them on a full-time, permanent contract.This is a full-time contract, 32.5 hours per week/39 weeks per annum. The salary ranges from £26,421 - £28,770. The school provide placements for students from across Hampshire and West Berkshire. They aim to meet the needs of secondary aged boys and girls who have difficulty managing social interactions, positive relationships and recognising and regulating their emotions. Many of their students have a diagnosis (or identified traits) of an Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) and/or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). As an Assistant Teacher, you will cover/supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teachers, work with withdrawal and small groups to provide support and intervention, lead a team of Assistant Teachers as required and work collaboratively with teaching staff and assist teachers in the whole planning cycle and the management/preparation of resources. , provide support for pupils and the teacher in order to raise standards of achievement for all pupils (e.g. additional SEN, EAL, GT, FSM, underachievers), by utilising advanced levels of knowledge and skills when assisting with planning, monitoring, assessing and managing classes. The successful Assistant Teacher will be emotionally intelligent, empathetic, highly motivated and be able to deliver an exciting and engaging curriculum across the school.
