Teaching Assistant - SEN School, Basingstoke (Autism) - ASAP start, full-timeAcademics are recruiting on behalf of an SEN school in Basingstoke who are looking to appoint a number of SEN Teaching Assistant's to join them ASAP. This is an on-going, temp to perm contract. This is only suitable for a TA who is looking for a full-time, permanent contract.

The school caters for learners from Year 1 to Year 11 whose needs cannot be met within a mainstream environment. All students will have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) in relation to their Social, Communication Needs (SCN) associated with a diagnosis of Autism.

It is a purpose built two-storey school with specialist classrooms and extensive external grounds. They are looking to grow to offer spaces for up to 128 full time pupils with personalised academic and therapeutic programmes to help them progress in life.

You will be required to support pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis. SEN experience would be beneficial, although training is provided so if you have experience of working in schools or within a care environment and are interested, please also get in touch.
