Teaching Assistants - SEMH School - BasingstokeAcademics are seeking experienced Teaching Assistants to join an SEMH School in Basingstoke to start in September 2025. This is a full-time, temp to perm contract, so please only apply if you're looking for this type of role.You will be supporting pupils aged 5 - 16 years with complex social, emotional and mental health needs and ASC. This a challenging yet rewarding role, you may be required to support learners in a group and individual basis working 1:1.

Due to the nature of the setting, this is suitable for someone with experience of working with children with complex needs and challenging behaviours, who is able to develop good relationships and support positive engagement in tasks and activities.

- Have an NVQ Level 2 or equivalent.
- Have a GCSE in both Maths & English.
- Be confident, resilient, empathetic and able to think on your feet!
- Have recent experience in supporting children with special needs, or be willing to learn.
- Be available full-time, term-time.
- Be based in Basingstoke or be willing to travel.
Although it is not essential it would be desirable for the Teaching Assistant to drive.
