- Conduct thorough risk assessments by evaluating borrower creditworthiness, property valuation reports, rental income potential, and market trends, ensuring the viability and profitability of the investment.
- Ensure compliance with the company's lending policies, underwriting guidelines, and regulatory requirements throughout the mortgage underwriting process.
- Verify and validate borrower documentation, such as income statements, tax returns, bank statements, and legal agreements, to ensure accuracy and authenticity.
- Collaborate effectively with mortgage originators, borrowers, appraisers, solicitors, and other stakeholders to gather information, resolve discrepancies, and provide timely updates on loan decisions.
