Our client in Basingstoke, Hampshire, is looking for a Finance Manager – Fixed Assets & Capital Accounting. 

In this role, you’ll lead a team managing a £7BN fixed asset register, ensuring compliance with accounting policies and regulations. As a key technical expert, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining financial integrity, improving processes, and engaging with stakeholders in a fast-paced environment. 

What will the Finance Manager – Fixed Assets & Capital Accounting role involve? 

  • Oversee and maintain the fixed asset register, ensuring accuracy, reconciliation, and compliance. 

  • Lead on technical accounting matters, providing expert advice to internal and external stakeholders. 

  • Manage the fixed asset reporting process, including statutory and regulatory submissions. 

  • Drive process improvements, automation, and best practice implementation in fixed asset accounting. 

  • Lead and develop a high-performing team, fostering professional growth and efficiency. 

Suitable Candidate for the Finance Manager – Fixed Assets & Capital Accounting vacancy: 

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) with significant post-qualification experience. 

  • Strong knowledge of FRS 102, Housing SORP, and wider financial accounting standards. 

  • Experience leading a finance team, with a focus on technical accounting and process improvement. 

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, able to communicate complex financial concepts clearly.
