Position: European Customs Clearance Coordinator

Location: Basingstoke - RG21
Salary: 30,000 - 34,000
Holiday: 25 days + Banks
Hours: Mon - Fri 8.30am - 17:30pm

Due to continued growth plans, we are now seeking to appoint a new customs clearance professional to our growing, friendly team from our head offices in Basingstoke.
We are looking for a European Road Freight operator or customs clearance coordinator who is analytically minded with meticulous attention to detail.
The successful Customs Coordinator will have a keen eye for detail and be proficient in Import and Export customs entries/clearances
Customs Coordinator - Requirements:
- Proficiency in UK / EU Customs regulation
- Excellent working knowledge of import and export customs procedures, primarily European Road Freight
- Strong communication skills
- Strong IT skills
Role & responsibilities:
- Ensure the timely and accurate completion of all Import & Export customs, procedures, Tariff Classifications, Duty Rates, and any other documentation requirements
- Processing Import/Export customs declarations
- Keeping up to date with changes in regulations, laws and customs procedures
- An extensive knowledge of Customs Commodity Codes would a great advantage
- Ensure all Customer needs are met or exceeded, within our Compliance Controls
- All other duties related to the process of clearing freight/shipments through customs
- Management of the full shipping & freight forwarding process would be an advantage
