- Undertaking inspections and testing for installation work, checking functionality of equipment, verifying system calibration and identifying potential issues
- Supporting contractors and other stakeholders involved in the projects, communicating over concerns and modifications needed
- Monitoring system performance to identify malfunctions, conducting inspections and making adjustments or repairs to prevent costly breakdowns and fine-tuning the performance to ensure efficiency, optimising airflow rates and temperature control
- Ensuring compliance with standards and regulations, making sure testing is done to confirm compliance and to establish that specific guidelines relating to indoor air quality, noise levels and ventilation rates is done
- Developing a plan to outline objectives, scope and timelines relating to the commissioning processes, identifying who the key stakeholders will be, establishing system requirements and KPIs
- Reviewing design documentation to ensure it aligns with the specifications and industry standards for the projects, identifying any discrepancies before installation
- Ensuring all HVAC equipment is installed correctly, adhering to guidelines and specifications, undertaking inspections and tests on placement, connections, wiring and functionality of the AHU and system and determine if the system meets the purpose set out, including testing airflow rates and temperature differentials
- Ensuring documentation is created, updated and accurate regarding all work and testing undertaken, and throughout each stage of commissioning, to track progress and identify deviations, using the documentation as evidence, as needed
- Experience in mechanical engineering
- A solid understanding ofthermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer
- Certified Commissioning Professional (CCP)
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical information
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and CAD software
- Ability to travel, with a valid UK driver’s license
