Mane are looking for an Assistant Estimator to join their client, a leading MEP contractor to work on a number of projects with them.


Reports to: Design Engineer/Estimator
Deputy: Assistant Estimator



Qualifications / Experience Required:

  • City & Guilds in Electrical Installation or NVQ Level 3 (preferred, but not essential)
  • Experience in electrical installation or electrical estimating
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and drawing software packages
  • Experience in temporary services (preferred, but not essential)


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in designing projects for submission at tender/pre-tender stages
  • Create schematic and layout drawings, along with other supporting tender documentation
  • Communicate with clients regarding post-tender submissions
  • Contribute to business development and maintaining client relationships


Main Tasks:

  • Assist in preparing tender and pre-tender documentation alongside the Design Engineer
  • Produce schematic and layout drawings and other supporting information for tenders
  • Attend post-tender meetings and negotiate adjustments to submissions
  • Maintain regular contact with clients to build long-term relationships
  • Support project handover to operations
  • Identify and suggest improvements to enhance the quality of services provided to clients
  • Continue training and gaining experience to advance to a Design Engineer role
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
