You will require deep expertise inEricsson RAN platforms and equipment, along with a strong understanding of Network Automation, Orchestration, and Service Management. As a key player in the team, you will drive the design and architecture of automation solutions for mobile network, ensuring optimal performance, efficiency, and scalability.Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Expertise:Serve as the primary technical authority on RAN-related topics, with a focus onEricsson RAN platformsand equipment for the Mobile Automation Team.
  • Automation Design:Collaborate with the Mobile Automation team to architect, design, and implement RAN automation solutions to streamline network operations, including provisioning, fault management, and performance optimization.
  • Network Orchestration:Support and enhance network orchestration capabilities, working closely with the Mobile Automation team to integrate RAN functionalities into the broader service orchestration architecture.
  • Service Orchestration:Contribute to the development of service orchestration strategies, ensuring seamless integration of RAN services within the automated network environment.
  • Operational Support:Provide 3rd-line technical support for automated RAN systems, resolving complex issues and ensuring high availability of network services.
  • Documentation & Training:Develop technical documentation and training materials to support the deployment and operation of RAN automation solutions.
  • Collaboration:Work closely with cross-functional teams, including core network, IT, and field operations teams, to ensure alignment on automation goals and objectives.
  • Continuous Improvement:Identify opportunities for improvement in RAN automation processes, tools, and technologies, staying updated on the latest trends in RAN automation and orchestration.

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience inRadio Access Networks (RAN)with expertiseEricssonRAN platforms and equipment.
  • Strong understanding ofRAN architectures, including 4G LTE and 5G NR technologies.
  • Experience withnetwork automationtools and platforms.
  • Familiarity withnetwork orchestrationandservice orchestrationconcepts and technologies (e.g., NFV, SDN, MANO, ETSI frameworks).
  • Understanding of OSS/BSS systems and their integration with network elements, specifically Ericsson ENM, AMOS and its APIs.
  • Experience with bulk provisioning scripting into ENM and understanding conflict / overload
  • Knowledge and understanding ofRAN Alliance interfacessuch as O1, A1, O2 and M-Plane (R1) and how to implement rApp capability in a multi RAT / multi-vendor environment.
  • An appreciation of how theTelecom Security Act (TSA)may impact RAN automation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and engage with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical challenges.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience inCI/CDpipelines for automation workflows.
  • Hands-on experience with automation scripting languages such asPython,Ansible, or similar tools.
  • Knowledge ofcloud-nativearchitectures and virtualized RAN (vRAN).
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and Agile methodologies.
  • Industry certifications such asEricsson Certified Associate.
