Transition Teacher, Year 7 - Basingstoke - ASAP - MPS/UPS + SEN allowance of £2,539Academics are recruiting on behalf of an amazing Secondary School in Basingstoke who are looking to appoint a passionate and empathetic Transition Teacher to join them on a full-time, permanent contract.This is a full-time contract, 32.5 hours per week/39 weeks per annum. Please only apply if you have QTS. The salary ranges from MPS-UPS + an SEN allowance! The school provide placements for students from across Hampshire and West Berkshire. They aim to meet the needs of secondary aged boys and girls who have difficulty managing social interactions, positive relationships and recognising and regulating their emotions. Many of their students have a diagnosis (or identified traits) of an Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) and/or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). As a Transition Teacher, you will plan and deliver creative and stimulating transition lessons, meeting the needs of every student. While your job is to teach students, you will also be required to perform other duties such as linking students to helpful resources and reporting on student progress.The successful Transition Teacher will be emotionally intelligent, empathetic, highly motivated and be able to deliver an exciting and engaging curriculum, mainly to yr7 students that develops learners' knowledge and skills.
