Support Analyst required by my leading client based near Basingstoke.

We’re looking for a skilled 2nd / 3rd Line Engineer to provide advanced technical support to our client and assist engineering teams. In this role, you’ll be responsible for resolving complex technical issues, managing cloud environments, and contributing to IT projects that enhance our customers' infrastructure.

  • Resolving Complex Issues: Troubleshoot and fix advanced technical problems related to servers, networking, applications, and security, including escalations from lower support levels.
  • Cloud Management: Support and optimize cloud infrastructure across platforms like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, including migrations and performance tuning.
  • Technical Advisory: Offer expert guidance on system improvements, upgrades, and long-term IT strategies for clients.
  • Project Work: Assist in the planning and implementation of IT projects such as infrastructure upgrades and security enhancements.
  • Collaboration with Vendors: Work closely with third-party providers to troubleshoot and ensure smooth service delivery.
  • Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Maintain clear documentation and help upskill team members by sharing expertise.
  • Incident Response: Act quickly to address critical system outages, diagnose root causes, and implement long-term fixes.
  • Security & Compliance: Continuously assess and strengthen security measures to protect client systems.

Skills:

  • IT Infrastructure Expertise: Solid experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, networking, and virtualization.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues independently.
  • Scripting & Automation: Experience with PowerShell or similar scripting tools to streamline processes.
  • Communication & Customer Focus: Strong interpersonal skills to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical users.
  • Analytical & Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage incidents efficiently, and communicate effectively with clients.
