Job Title: Lead Infrastructure Architect

Location: Basingstoke, UK (fully onsite) with some UK travel to client sites
Contract: 12 months
Day Rate: Up to £740 per day (Inside IR35)
Security Clearance: Current SC Clearance required

We are seeking an experienced Lead Infrastructure Architect for an exciting opportunity to lead the design, installation, configuration, deployment, administration, and migration of secure solutions for a variety of clients. This is a pivotal role where you will oversee complex and secure IT infrastructures, ensuring their successful delivery and alignment with client needs.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and manage all work packages from design to prototyping, ensuring deliverables meet functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with Solution Architects to design secure, scalable solutions of varying sizes and complexities.
  • Promote digital transformation principles, ensuring sustainable and energy-efficient product designs.
  • Contribute to a sustainable supply chain through your designs and solutions.


Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in producing high-quality solutions and documentation using a structured approach.
  • Strong client-facing skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to senior executives.
  • Commercially astute, with expert knowledge of contractual obligations and associated constraints.
  • Experience in creating a variety of design artefacts (Architecture Overview Documents, High-Level Designs, Low-Level Designs).
  • Ability to support and maintain work packages throughout the Customer Solution Lifecycle.
  • Demonstrable experience working on secure infrastructure solutions.


Additional Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel within the UK to client sites.
  • Current SC Clearance is a must due to the secure nature of the work.
