Global Telecommunications client looking for a technical OSS Engineer with hands-on experience in Scripting, OpenShift and Red Hat Technologies. They have a wide range of business clients they offer B2B Operating Services to and this role is being hired to support the services technically. As part of the OSS Team, you will ensure the availability of OSS services, including reactive and proactive activities. You will be responsible for supporting OSS Solutions for network rollout, performance, optimisation and analytics.
Your new role
- Ensure all processes and procedures are documented and controlled in accordance with the client's quality process
- Drive through the resolution within the agreed SLA, following the escalation process where needed.
- As part of ongoing service improvements, identify any inadequacies with existing infrastructure and processes and propose recommendations to improve the existing infrastructure and work practices.
- To advise and participate in the introduction of new infrastructure elements, applications and services, including new features - liaising as necessary with other client departments, vendors and project managers.
- To provide operational consultancy for projects, protecting the customer at all times.
- To represent Business Operations in project definition workshops, platform change control, operational reviews and meetings with other departments and vendors as required.
What you'll need to succeed
- Administration and Implementation of Broadcom Enterprise Software (Including DX NetOps Suite, AppNeta, DX OI & UIM)Administration and Implementation of Microsoft Technologies including Windows, SQL, DNS, IIS and Active Directory
- Administration and support of Red Hat Technologies including Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 & upwards, Satellite & Openshift.
- Administration and Implementation of Virtualisation Technologies including VMWare, Hyper-V, KVM & Kubernetes/ experience in any one or more of the following python, perl, powershell, bash or ansible
- Administration and Implementation of Citrix Technologies including ADC, ADM, XenDesktop, Storefront and DirectorHardware and Configuration Support of Server & Storage Equipment from DellEMC & Cisc
