MERJE are seeking an experienced Income Protection Claims Specialist to join a leading national  insurance company  This role offers an exciting opportunity to assess complex claims, mentor team members, and drive process improvements. The Role

Key Responsibilities of the Income Protection Claims Specialist:

  • Assess income protection claims in line with industry best practices
  • Draft and issue claims decision letters and other correspondence
  • Liaise with stakeholders to ensure swift and correct claim outcomes
  • Support and mentor team members
  • Participate in testing new processes and systems

Required knowledge and experience for the Income Protection Claims Specialist role:

  • Broad experience in assessing and managing income protection claims
  • Experience dealing with the FOS on claims matters
  • Good experience working with reinsurers
  • Confident in presenting ideas and training peers
  • Detailed knowledge of the UK insurance market and regulatory environment
