Role Summary:

Our client is looking to revolutionize cost management and visibility across their business. This role is crucial in defining and implementing new cost reporting approaches to optimize the use of resources, aligning with the company's strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Central Role - you will be a key player in the Group Cost finance team, responsible for reporting, analysis, and insights into the groups cost base.
  • Cost Analysis - Develop and manage comprehensive cost analysis, including P&Ls, cost category reporting, and productivity KPIs.
  • Spend Control - Lead processes to monitor and control spending across key cost categories, ensuring cost visibility and optimization.
  • Collaboration - Work with Finance and wider business units to align cost reporting and allocation methodologies.
  • Stakeholder Engagement - Collaborate with Exec Committee, business leadership, and finance directors, including the CEO, CFO, and COO.
  • Cost Culture - Implement an enterprise-wide cost capability and foster a cost-conscious culture.
  • Ad-hoc Projects - Participate in various cost-related projects as needed.

Requirements:

  • Qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA) with 2+ post qualified years' experience working in an FP&A environment (or Operations / cost discipline)
  • Strong excel and analytical skills, ideally with financial modelling experience
  • General business and commercial acumen to link the financial input with business insight
  • Experience in developing and implementing cost reporting and controls an advantage
