Are you a Senior Planning Engineer looking for your next venture?

A global leading engineering EPC company is seeking a highly skilled Senior Planning Engineer to support their operations in Basingstoke. The Senior Planning Engineer role is on a permanent staff basis, allowing hybrid working of 12 days per month from home, which can be used as you wish.

As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining project schedules, monitoring progress, and ensuring efficient planning methodologies across the project lifecycle.

The client operates in all phases of project development, with a primary focus on Pre-FID activities.

Key Responsibilities: Senior Planning Engineer

• Maintain full familiarity with company policies, directives, and procedures, and suggest improvements to project planning methods.
• Develop resource-loaded project baseline schedules and S-curves to track and report project progress.
• Establish project-specific planning procedures where necessary.
• Monitor Planning man-hour expenditures against budget and provide forecasts on future requirements.
• Ensure planning networks are integrated with Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS) and SAP where required.
• Maintain proficiency in relevant planning software, including Primavera P6, MS Project, and MS Office applications.
• Support proposal preparation and contribute to client presentations as required.

Qualifications and Experience: Senior Planning Engineer

• Degree in a relevant discipline is desirable.
• Proven experience as a Planning Engineer/Planner within the energy sector, ideally in an EPC company.
• Strong expertise in Primavera P6, MS Project, and MS Office applications.
• Experience managing FEED (Front-End-Engineering Design) and EPC’s.
• Demonstrated ability to manage project scope, resources, and schedules effectively.
