Children's Occupational Therapist

Our Local Authority client is seeking a Children's Occupational Therapist to join their team in Basingstoke, Hampshire. You will act as a source of OT expertise providing clinical supervision and specialist assessment/intervention, and hold a caseload working across the different environments such as home, school and clinics.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide specialist occupational therapy assessment, advice and interventions to children, young people and their families and to hold a caseload of children with complex needs.
  • Screen and triage referrals and ensure a strengths-based approach to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions to support the complex packages of care for children with additional needs in the community.
  • Work within the Physical and Sensory Pathway providing support to Occupational Therapists working across a range of pathways.

Requirements:

  • Must have at least Diploma/BSc in Occupational Therapy or equivalent and have HCPC registration.
  • Paediatric experience
