Our Local Authority Client in Basingstoke are seeking a Children's Occupational Therapist to join their team for a temporary contract initially.

Children's Occupational Therapist

Term time only

3 month initial contract with the view of extension

£400 per day

Located in Basingstoke, hybrid working considered

Key responsibilities:

  • Hold a caseload working across the different environments such as home, school and clinics.
  • Screen and triage referrals and ensure a strengths-based approach to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions to support the complex packages of care for children with additional needs in the community.
  • Provide specialist occupational therapy assessment, advice and interventions to children, young people and their families and to hold a caseload of children with complex needs.
  • Provide case management of an identified caseload of children and young people with highly complex long-term conditions and complex needs by utilising and promoting evidence-based care

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Experience of working with Children and Young People or relevant demonstrable transferable skills
