A fantastic opportunity has opened for someone to join a well established planning team in the Basingstoke region. You will be joining the Development team dealing with managing the process of planning applications, appeals, and related documentation while supporting the team with feasibility assessments and general development activities.

Your day to day duties will consist of the following:-

  • Prepare, submit, and manage planning applications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Discharge, vary and/or removal of planning conditions.
  • Liaise with local planning authorities and consultants to address queries and facilitate the application process.
  • Monitor the progress of applications, providing regular updates and proactively addressing any potential delays or issues.
  • Conduct preliminary research and assessments to determine the feasibility and risks associated to proposed projects, including reviewing local development plans and policies.

To be considered for this role you will be required to have:-

  • Proven experience in planning coordination or a similar role within the property or development sector.
  • Experience of working within a planning department team processing and validating planning applications preferred however not essential.
  • Strong understanding of UK planning legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Good knowledge of the general permitted development order 2015 and the development management procedure order 2015.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
