Reed Education Southampton are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Primary Teacher to fulfil a KS1 Primary Teacher cover within a small school based in Basingstoke. 

The school believe that close partnerships with families are key to ensuring that pupils are the heart of every decision within the school. The staff work together to provide a happy and safe learning environment, where pupils can be supported to become happy, resilient and confident learners for life! The school are fortunate to have superb outdoor spaces, including their very own outdoor learning area! The school believe that every adult within the school, whether a teacher, support staff, governor, parent or guardian, you are all role models, who provide pupils with the ability to look up to you as individuals.

As the KS1 class teacher, you will work with your assigned class for the duration of the booking and ensure that your lesson delivery and planning is in line with the schools' policy and curriculum. You will be a happy, passionate and dedicated individual, with the ability to adapt and encourage learning, providing a safe and engaging environment to learn. You will be responsible for the attainment and engagement within the class, and expected to fill the shoes of the class teacher as seamlessly as possible.

For this role, you will be/will need:

  • Qualified Teacher Status with a degree in Primary Education or similar
  • To be available from January 2025 to July 2025 on a full-time basis
  • Open to PPA, meetings, parent's evenings and reports for your class
  • A role model for pupils, providing a passion and enthusiasm for learning
  • Engaging and adaptable within the classroom, working with staff to provide an excellent learning experience
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (this can be obtained through Reed)

The salary for this position is currently set between £140-200 per day (Post AWR rates will be arrange at 12 weeks within the booking).
