About the Role

This is a hands-on, creative position leading the operations of an onsite canteen. It’s an exciting opportunity to create a welcoming space where employees can enjoy freshly prepared, healthy, and delicious food options daily.

Role Responsibilities
  • Daily Operations: Manage the canteen’s full cycle of food preparation, cooking, assembly, and serving.
  • Menu Planning: Design a rotating menu featuring seasonal ingredients, offering creative dishes like salads, soups, sandwiches, and weekly specials.
  • Hygiene and Standards: Ensure cleanliness and compliance with food safety regulations, aiming to elevate the hygiene rating from 3 to 5 stars.
  • Customer Service: Provide a friendly, personalized dining experience, remembering names and preferences.
  • Event Catering: Prepare and deliver meals for boardroom lunches and internal meetings.
  • Inventory and Stock Management: Order, store, and control food supplies while maintaining compliance with health and safety guidelines.
  • Innovation: Experiment with new recipes and meal ideas to continuously attract and inspire colleagues.
Key Requirements
  • Proven experience in a catering, kitchen management, or similar hospitality role.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a personable, approachable demeanor.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure while maintaining high standards.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of food hygiene and safety practices, with a proactive approach to maintaining and championing these standards.
  • Creativity and passion for food preparation, with the ability to experiment with new flavors and concepts.
