The UK head office, based in Basingstoke, is currently seeking an experienced Finance Assistant to focus primarily on Sales Ledger and Accounts Receivable.

Finance Assistant - About The Role
Reporting to the Finance Manager you willassist with sales invoicing, maintaining and reconciling ledgers, overseeing credit control, as well as general finance administration.
Main responsibilities:
- Process sales invoices using the accounting system
- Maintain and analyse the Sales and Nominal Ledgers
- Prepare and report weekly Sales and Orders results
- Reconcile the cash book and customer receipts
- Perform foreign exchange reconciliations
- Handle banking requirements, including payment authorisations, currency level monitoring, and reconciliations
- Set up new clients and conduct necessary financial checks
- Manage credit control processes
- Perform general account reconciliations for audit purposes and assist with month-end allocations, procedures, and corporate reporting
- Maintain and manage records, obtaining necessary authorisations for reporting and auditing
- Support process improvements, reporting, and financial analysis
- Assist the Finance Manager as needed
The successful Finance Assistant will have:
- A positive and proactive approach, able to work to deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Accurate numeracy skills
- Willingness to learn and enhance skills through independent work and teamwork
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail
- At least two years of experience in an accounting or financial team within an office environment
- Proficient in Excel, Outlook, and other Windows-based software
- AAT level 3 (or equivalent) would be an advantage
