English Teacher - Basingstoke - ASAP - MPS/UPS + SEN allowance of £2,539Academics are recruiting on behalf of an amazing Secondary School in Basingstoke who are looking to appoint a passionate and empathetic English Teacher to join them on a full-time, permanent contract.This is a full-time contract, 32.5 hours per week/39 weeks per annum. Please only apply if you have QTS. The salary ranges from MPS-UPS + an SEN allowance! This is a fantastic opportunity for an English specialist looking to work in an an alternative teaching environment. The school provide placements for students from across Hampshire and West Berkshire. They aim to meet the needs of secondary aged boys and girls who have difficulty managing social interactions, positive relationships and recognising and regulating their emotions. Many of their students have a diagnosis (or identified traits) of an Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) and/or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). As a result, the school has developed a greater specialism to meet these specific needs. They strive to improve academic outcomes, whilst acknowledging that communication, social skills, mental health and emotional development are the priority for thier students.The successful English Teacher will be emotionally intelligent, empathetic, highly motivated and be able to deliver an exciting and engaging curriculum that develops learners' English knowledge and skills, to both KS3 and KS4.
