Position Overview:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Maths Teacher to join our team from September 2024. This is a long-term, full-time position that offers a fantastic opportunity to inspire and motivate students in their mathematical journey. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons, developing engaging curriculum plans, and supporting students' academic growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and effective Maths lessons to students of varying abilities.
  • Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies.
  • Provide additional support and guidance to students as needed, including after-school tutoring or extra-curricular activities.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the Maths curriculum and assessment requirements.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, parent evenings, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • A degree in Mathematics or a related field.
  • Proven experience teaching Maths at secondary level.
  • Strong knowledge of the UK Maths curriculum and assessment practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their best.
