Infrastructure Architect - Permanent - MOD DV Clearable

Location - Basingstoke, Bracknell

Type - Permanent, Full-Time

Salary - £75,000 - £80,000 + DV Bonus (Once Attained) + Pension + Company Bonus + Car Allowance

Clearance - Must be eligible for MOD DV and SC clearance (Sole British National). Not required to have these to apply but will require them to start the role.

A leading technical supplier to the MOD is seeking to expand its Architectural teams. As part of this team, you will collaborate with highly skilled Infrastructure and Lead Architects, contributing to various project lifecycles that encompass security, service, and management. Successful candidates will thrive in a cooperative environment where teamwork is essential.

This Role Will Involve:

  • The Successful candidate will be working as part of a highly skilled team of Architects, where teamwork and collaboration is key. Communicating with multiple stakeholders ensuring work is aligned to the client's needs.
  • Your role will entail providing technical leadership within a project, being responsible for network design and configuration documentation, including navigating through governance review.
  • The role will provide hands-on technical configuration/implementation support and ensure a successful handover to service.
  • This role also includes mentor-ship and coaching opportunities to help more junior Architects and Integrators.

Your Experience:

  • Strong senior-level client-facing skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with executives
  • Deep expertise in designing and implementing secure, large-scale, and resilient infrastructure
  • Track record of gathering and defining infrastructure requirements directly with clients
  • Hands-on experience delivering production-ready solutions and managing smooth service transitions
  • Skilled in creating infrastructure designs aligned with security standards
  • Experienced in Agile software development and delivery
  • Solid knowledge of enterprise Windows systems administration, including configuration via GPO, PowerShell, WMI, and patching processes. Linux is a desirable but not essential.
  • Knowledge of Private Cloud desirable but not essential.
  • Virtualisation knowledge and experience.
  • In depth knowledge of both HLD's and LLD's
