SEN Teaching Assistant's needed - SEN School in Basingstoke - ASAP Start!!!Academics are recruiting on behalf of a successful SEN school on the outskirts of Basingstoke who are looking for a number of passionate and empathetic SEN Teaching Assistant's to join them on full-time on an ongoing supply contract, starting ASAP. You will be required to support students on a 1:1 and small group basis. You must be prepared to carry out personal care duties!The residential SEN School is set in the countryside which provides specialist education for children and young people aged 4 to 19 years old. They specialise in providing exceptional teaching and care for learners with moderate to severe learning difficulties, specifically those with ASD with associated behavioural and/or communication needs.Their team of expert teaching and support staff work hard to deliver a 24 hour curriculum to their young people across both their main school site and children's homes. The school offers day placements as well as weekly boarding, both term time only and 52 week care.This position is ideally suited to someone with experience of supporting in an SEN school or a care environment, although not essential. Training will be provided. What is important is possessing a passion for working with children with special educational needs and you are comfortable carrying out personal care duties on young children up to 19 years.
