Warehouse Operative

Our client is looking for a warehouse operative to joing their busy team on a temp - perm basis.

Located close to Basingstoke with free parking. We have worked with this client for a number of years and will be looking to arrange a show round with our client within the next week. This will enable you to have a look around the warehouse and meet the team.

Duties Required

Picking stock for despatch in accordance with despatch notes. Paying particular attention to quantity, correct part number and despatch address. Where possible goods should be picked by one operative and packed by a second, both signing the file copy of the paperwork to confirm their involvement in that sales order. o Endeavour to complete the picking and packing of all the days sales orders in time to be loaded onto that day's transport. o Pack goods for despatch to minimise the possibility of damage in transit. o Check all goods-in against documentation and report any discrepancies. Place goods-in into appropriate stock location without delay. o Book in customer returns/repairs including any appropriate paperwork, ensuring we have as much detail as possible including part numbers, serial numbers and special customer instructions o Support the materials controller in the cyclic counting of stock to ensure system records are accurate. o Liaise with Senior Warehouseman over recommendations for improvement in warehouse systems. * Support the technical department as and when required, which will involve: o Carrying out conversions by modifying current products or assembling components to satisfy customer orders.

Working Hours 0830 - 1715 Mon-Thurs, 0830 - 1615 Friday, with a 45 minute lunch break
