Job Purpose
  • Preparation and finalisation of accounts for owner managed businesses
  • Ensuring timely completion of audits within agreed time allocation
  • Preparation of tax computations for the same portfolio
  • Reviewing VAT returns and other final documents to ensure accuracy
  • Supervising junior staff, including review working and knowledge sharing
  • Building trusted client relationships as their main point of contact, proactively handling queries
  • Championing your own professional development, undertaking training opportunities
  • Working directly with the Manager to ensure expectations, deadlines, and budgets are being met

The Successful Applicant
  • ACA or ACCA qualified with previous experience in practice
  • Or AAT qualified and studying towards ACA/ACCA or with a desire to begin study
  • Experience leading audits from planning to completion
  • A hands-on team player who can also work autonomously
  • Excellent work ethic, self-motivated, and reliable
  • Exceptional communication skills and keen eye for detail
  • Able to build strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and third parties
  • Good awareness of current affairs and solid commercial acumen
  • A can-do attitude and a proactive problem solver
  • Ability to work under pressure
