- Interim Financial Controller/Projecty Accountant role (Bath)
- Initially, 3-6 months, while they try & fill the permanent role/ go through their own recruitment process
- Preference for client is FTC at £60-75k or will consider day rate options (inside IR35)
A fast-growing and ambitious tech company headquartered in Bath, UK that is making a global impact. Role overview: As the Financial Controller, you will be working primarily within the project delivery function but liaising closely with a number of departments, including the Finance team. This role is to be responsible for all finance matters in relation to the company's overseas projects. The position will suit a Qualified Accountant who is pragmatic, has good communication skills and a high attention to detail, as well as having experience of working on large-scale international projects.Responsibilities: Reporting to the CFO & projects team and working within the Systems Delivery department, you as the Financial Controller, will be responsible for all financial matters in the systems business, specifically (not exhaustive):
- Budgeting and cash flow planning for all international systems projects, including large-scale, complex projects
- Producing budgets, forecasts, project accounts and financial reports for the Exec
- Controlling expenditure in line with budgets
- Reporting on financial implications of project changes and risks
- Cost control and governance - review invoices to ensure they meet approved limits/agreed contracts
- Project finance
- Liaising with auditors as required
Requirements: We would expect the successful candidate for the role of Financial Controller/ Project Controller to:
- Qualified accountant
- Experience working on international projects
- Uncompromising attention to detail
- Ability to think outside the box
- Self-starter with a positive can-do attitude
- Appreciation of cultural differences in overseas territories and ability to communicate well with customers and advisors overseas
- Solid knowledge of accounting systems and excel
- Desire to build a solid, secure career with a rapidly growing company
