Skogen are about to open their brand new venue selling the best in craft beers, cocktails, wines and food in Bath. The venue will be opening mid-March and we are looking for an experience Assistant Manager ready to take the next step in their career or a current Bar Manager looking to make a move to somewhere new.

Purpose of the role
The purpose of the Bar Manager role is to assist the General Manager in the day to day running of Skogen, Oktogon and any future venues as necessary.
Main duties
- Taking over control and responsibility of all venues when the GM is off. Assisting the GM is all day-to day activities and taking responsibility for any day to day activities as required when necessary.
- Assisting the General Manager in ensuring that the company wage budget is adhered to and targets are met to control costs.
- Assisting the GM in maximising sales and profit through upselling with staff, promotions and ideas for new events.
- Assisting the GM in ensuring that stock levels are correct for all venues and orders are completed on time and to the correct levels for the business.
- Running shifts and assisting the GM to ensure all rules or jobs that are put in place are completed daily by the staff working to ensure the business is clean and well run.
- Assisting the GM in dealing with staff enquires and changing the rota to accommodate.
- Assisting the GM with any and all HR matters as required.
- Assisting the GM with all staff training including planning and delivering sessions across the board.
- Responsible for dealing with the Skogen and Oktogon social media accounts and ensuring that they are up to date and our promotions are being pushed forward daily.
- Assist the GM in ensuring that service times are correct to the prescribed rules and the staff are all working towards the correct ethos of the company as directed by the GM. It is the responsibility of the management team to constantly engage and motivate the staff to not only deliver the best service to customers, but for each other and to ensure all staff are having fun!
- Assist the GM in ensuring that each venue maintains its current 5 star hygiene rating.
