Are you a talented General Manager looking for a new opportunity in the Bath area? Do you have experience in a similar role within the hospitality/sports space?

We are currently partnering with a staple of the Bath sports sector, in their search for a new General Manager to guide the club.

Our client is set in a beautiful area of the city where they provide a wide range of first-class sports facilities and services to over 900 members. They place great emphasis on creating a welcoming environment and offering a wide range of recreational and competitive playing opportunities.

The range of sports, a variety of tennis court surfaces, a great clubhouse with excellent catering and the opportunity to meet hundreds of other members make this a special place.

THE DAY TO DAY:

Working to help deliver ambitious plans, this new position will report to the Committee.

  • Have a member satisfaction focus
  • Have an enthusiasm for sport, preferably racquet sports
  • Be a team player
  • Be adept at managing multiple stakeholders and
  • Be prepared to work flexibly, including some evenings and weekends.

ABOUT YOU:

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate experience of, or evidence of transferable skills relating to sports club development and management including:

  • Financial, business and operations planning and delivery
  • Competitive and recreational sport programme development and delivery
  • Talent management
  • Marketing and communications
  • Facilities and project planning, development and management
  • Front of house and social activity management
  • Administration and IT

To be successful in their role the GM, while having a high degree of autonomy, will work with the Club’s Chair and Committee members, sports coaches, the Club’s staff and volunteers, contractors, external bodies and stakeholders all as needed.

Salary circa £40k plus bonus and benefits.
