We are looking for a Business Development Manager to join our team and play a pivotal role in strengthening our clients work-winning capabilities. This role involves close collaboration with the Business Development team to target and build strong relationships with clients, ensuring successful repeat business opportunities. The ideal candidate will be proactive, insightful, and adept at gathering intelligence to inform strategic decision-making.

Day to Day of the role:
  • Support work winners with business development initiatives by providing key insights into clients, markets, and sectors.
  • Act as a central point of contact for business development activities and support strategic bids.
  • Coordinate input to the integrated Business Development & Marketing plan, including market and sector research.
  • Capture intelligence to support opportunity tracking for the business.
  • Assist in creating Key Relationship Management plans and monitor account activities.
  • Identify industry hot topics to inform propositions and thought leadership.
  • Contribute to content creation for various marketing materials.
  • Conduct data analysis to identify trends and provide insights.
  • Support bid coordinators with “must-win” bids by leveraging industry knowledge.
  • Share intelligence across sectors and markets to support the Business Development community.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience within the construction/engineering industry.
  • Knowledge of the UK markets and ability to work closely in a team environment.
  • Strong influencing skills and relationship-building across all business levels.
  • Organised, methodical, and proactive with the ability to lead in challenging situations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and IT proficiency, including data analysis.
  • Experience in property and construction industry.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work autonomously or as part of a team.
  • Marketing and event coordination skills are desirable.
