Our client is a growing and privately-owned Legionella / Water Hygiene outfit, with a strong presence in the South West of England. They are seeking a Water Hygiene Engineer, ideally with remedial / plumbing experience, who can undertake a wide range of duties, in order to adapt to changing client needs. Applicants will need to be able to demonstrate strong industry knowledge as well as a willingness to train further and grow their skillset where needed. Ideally, you will be located in: Bath, Trowbridge, Devizes, Frome, Warminster, Wells, Glastonbury, Bridgwater, Taunton, Yeovil, Swindon, Malmesbury, Portishead, Weston-super-Mare, Yate, Bristol, Thornbury, Dursley, Stroud, Cirencester, Bourton-on-the-Water, Gloucester, Cheltenham, Newport, Chepstow, Cardiff.
Experience / Qualifications:
- Must be working as a Water Hygiene Engineer for a Legionella / Water Hygiene outfit, or must have strong, recent previous experience
- Candidates will ideally also hold plumbing experience / qualifications (e.g NVQ / City & Guilds)
- Good industry knowledge, including ACOP L8 & HSG 274 guidelines
- Must have undertaken: TMV Servicing, Showerhead Descales, Chlorinations and Tank Cleans
- It would also be beneficial to have experience with Legionella Risk Assessments
- Strong IT and written proficiency
The Role:
- Working as a Water Hygiene Engineer, you will be completing a range of duties across Commercial, Industrial, Leisure and Public Sector client sites
- TMV servicing and replacements
- Showerhead descales
- Tank inspections, cleans & disinfections
- Deadleg removals
- Water sampling
- Temperature monitoring
- Servicing water softeners
- Chlorinations on mains water systems
- Writing detailed service reports
- Supporting training members of staff
