We are representing a leading housing association based in Bath, seeking a Senior Property Inspector to lead their property assessment team. This role is crucial as it involves both technical expertise and hands-on people management skills. The successful candidate will guide Property Assessors in collecting vital data that informs investment decisions, helping to maintain and improve housing quality across the region.
Day-to-day of the role:- Lead and inspire a team of five Property Assessors, ensuring high-quality data collection that influences property investment decisions.
- Develop and implement innovative survey methods for the new block condition survey programme launching in April 2025.
- Enhance team skills in EPC assessments, identifying building defects, and recommending remedial actions.
- Coordinate the survey schedule to achieve an annual target of 2,500 home surveys.
- Maintain high standards of compliance and address potential issues proactively.
- Collaborate with the Property Performance team to ensure data collected leads to tangible improvements.
- Review resident consent applications and inspect completed works to ensure quality standards are met.
- Qualified Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA Level 3) with strong people management skills.
- Extensive knowledge of building construction and energy efficiency.
- Proven ability to diagnose technical building issues and implement solution-based approaches.
- Experience in managing teams to meet targets and deadlines.
- Self-motivated with excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage conflicting priorities.
- Passionate about property standards and energy efficiency, with a focus on accurate data collection for smart investment decisions.
- A valid UK driving license is essential.
