Senior Property Inspector

• Annual Salary: £39,710 + £900 annual essential car user allowance

We are representing a leading housing association based in Bath, seeking a Senior Property Inspector to lead their property assessment team. This role is crucial as it involves both technical expertise and hands-on people management skills. The successful candidate will guide Property Assessors in collecting vital data that informs investment decisions, helping to maintain and improve housing quality across the region.

• Lead and inspire a team of five Property Assessors, ensuring high-quality data collection that influences property investment decisions.
• Develop and implement innovative survey methods for the new block condition survey programme launching in April 2025.
• Enhance team skills in EPC assessments, identifying building defects, and recommending remedial actions.
• Coordinate the survey schedule to achieve an annual target of 2,500 home surveys.
• Maintain high standards of compliance and address potential issues proactively.
• Collaborate with the Property Performance team to ensure data collected leads to tangible improvements.
• Review resident consent applications and inspect completed works to ensure quality standards are met.

• Qualified Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA Level 3) with strong people management skills.
• Extensive knowledge of building construction and energy efficiency.
• Proven ability to diagnose technical building issues and implement solution-based approaches.
• Experience in managing teams to meet targets and deadlines.
• Self-motivated with excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage conflicting priorities.
• Passionate about property standards and energy efficiency, with a focus on accurate data collection for smart investment decisions.
• A valid UK driving license is essential.
