THE ROLE:
Pre-contract phase:
- Assist in procuring new work and bringing new leads and clients to the business.
- Support estimators during the tender process with technical expertise and programme advice.
- Oversee tender adjudication process to ensure the bid price is accurate and all risks have been identified.
- Take handover of contract documents from the estimator. Review contract conditions, payment terms, insurance and bond requirements etc.
- Ensure contract or letter of intent are in place before any expenditure commences.
- Formulate financial plan for project, with budget controls to protect margin (or oversee surveyor if applicable).
- Overall responsibility for the successful delivery of the project, including client and professional team relations, managing programme, monitoring against financial plan cost control. Ensuring health & safety compliance. Overseeing site management. Planning ahead & thinking ahead to avoid pitfalls.
- Delivery of CDM file/Q&M manuals.
- Obtaining PC certificate.
- Oversee timely agreement of final account.
- Manage execution of the snagging/defects, to obtain final certificate.
- Ensure retention is invoiced and paid.
KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Previous experience as a Senior Contracts Manager
- A leader who shows honesty and consistency, and motivates the team to deliver excellent results
- A manager who promotes quality, productivity and delivery.
