The data and analytics team plays a critical role in leveraging rich data assets and cutting-edge technology to drive business growth and enhance customer satisfaction. With operations across the UK, Ireland and North America, the team delivers impactful insights and solutions.

Role

As a Senior Data Engineer here you will be a key member of the Data and Analytics leadership team. You will be responsible for managing and enhancing the organisations data infrastructure. You will oversee data sourcing, governance, and integrity while ensuring a resilient, scalable, and future-proof infrastructure. Additionally, you will lead the migration of a key data environment to the cloud and evaluate new technologies to optimise performance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the management of the data infrastructure, ensuring the consistent operation of ETLs and high data integrity.
  • Maintain and implement a roadmap to enhance performance, supporting analytics and business intelligence teams.
  • Evaluate and improve data quality through structured monitoring initiatives.
  • Looking after the data infrastructure, ensuring data infrastructure is up and available

Skills required

  • 5 years' experience managing SQL production environments
  • Expertise in data modelling, ingestion, and integration
  • Proficiency in Azure and Databricks
  • Strong analytical skills applicable to commercial and business processes
  • Hands-on experience with data visualisation tools (preferably Tableau)
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, working with both business analysts and IT teams
